Ohana is a little resort on the Rayong shore, twenty, maybe thirty minutes from either Ban Phe pier or the bus station, and it's a breath of fresh air compared to the touristy bustle. You step into this tropical garden, buzzing with flowers and birds, surrounding two pools (one of which a lagoon with sand on the bottom, begging you to sink your toes in.) Breakfast is no Michelin, but the rice soup is pure home, and the eggs are fresh from the hen. The rooms are luxurious, clean, and safe, little sanctuaries so well-designed that you'll find yourself sprawled on the terrace all day, pillow-propped, watching the sun paint the sky, perfectly content to do absolutely nothing and missing out on exploration :) The main strip with its pubs and restaurants is a good walk away. But that's kind of the point because you can actually sleep at night without bum-bum shaking your walls, something rare in Thailand. Plus, you have the endless public beach five minutes down the path, and a 7-Eleven and a string of fantastic seafood joints right at the end of the street. But the real jewel in Ohana's crown is the staff. They're really like family, always with a smile and solving literally ANY problem, doubt, and need. I never met such a level of kindness in 13 years of traveling in ASEAN. Rayong might not be Thailand's postcard paradise, but it's quiet, family-friendly, and a stone's throw from stunning beaches and national parks. And if I ever find myself back there, I'll surely book again at this place.

We loved everything about Ohana, and can’t wait to go back! The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. The story of Ohana is a beautiful one - be sure to ask about it! The staff surprised us each afternoon with a snack, watermelon, smoothies, ice cream. Breakfast was great, and the lunch/dinner menu is great value and quality. We never bothered going out to eat, although there are plenty of options within walking distance. The room was so spacious and comfortable. They even provided us a second bed for a toddler, which was great. The pools were perfect, always a shady spot to be found. We loved it so much we didn’t visit the beach once! If you’re looking for a relaxing, remote, homey paradise, this is it! 10/10 highly recommended!

Most days it was very quiet at the resort. We had both pools and the garden to ourselves! Breakfast is simple but good. Do you prefer anything else the next day? Just ask! The small cottages have an outdoor shower and big bed. It's cleaned daily. Lovely staff, great service. Just ask and they will make it happen. I was ill for a few days and they provided me with ORS and were really concerned. It's about 300 meters to the beach with a few fish restaurants with daily fresh fish and great service. For just about €6 you can eat fresh fish, shrimps or lobster. The people in the Village are very friendly. By taxi it's just 20 min (€4) to the city centre of Rayong with a big night market, lots of restaurants, nail- en massage salons.

The hotel can be called "family-run", because it has a family, cozy, homely atmosphere. The hotel grounds are very green and beautiful. To 7/11 , restaurants and the sea - 3 min walk! The hotel feels warm and cozy in everything, an excellent clean room. But the most important value of the hotel is the staff. Thank you very much for your concern!

The hotel area was charmingly green with fishponds and two large pools - the other one was with sandy bottom! Extremely friendly atmosphere and extra good service. Short distance from the beach and nice beach restaurants. I really liked many birds (including the chickens). Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
